About the event
The second annual Peace & Justice in PA event gets underway Tuesday with an awards ceremony honoring the work of individuals and organizations that combat racism and discrimination. People can tune into the event, which will be live-streamed from Harrisburg University is presented by PA Media Group, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. It is sponsored by The Giant Co., The Hershey Co., Emerge Education and the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg. It will feature several speakers, including Bryant Marks Sr., a minister, researcher, trainer and award-winning educator who has spent nearly two decades fostering conversations about diversity, equity and implicit bias. Marks is the founding director of the National Training Institute on Race and Equity and an associate professor at Morehouse College.
